A Few Days at North Haven and a Little Further North.

Time to get away before the sedentary period that will be coming up after the 26th May when I will have my prostrate removed.

Camden Haven River and North Brother Mountain.
Camden Haven breakwater was first built in the late 1890's.

There's more in that stomach than there will be at the end of the month.

Going after the catch.

There's more trees growing along the wall now.

Looks like he means business.

Not quite summer.

Heading Home.

Just remembered that they left the toaster on.

Reflections in the weed pond.

Home away from home.

Has to rain sometime.

A Striated Heron  (Mangrove Heron)  puts up with the rain
but, eventually catches a snack (right).

These Welcome Swallows weren't enjoying the wet conditions.

Time to spruce up a bit.

Yes, but do they have a Hyundai i30 ?

And its little sister followed in a little later.

"How many times have I told you, get a proper haircut!"

Shadowy.

Abandoned.

Seashell by the seashore.

Will I get back before it rains?

Tacking Point Lighthouse is Australia's third oldest lighthouse.
It was built about 8 kilometres south of Port Macquarie in 1879.

Only 3 people thought it might be fun on this very rough, windy day.

Gloriosa superba or Glory Lily  (nasty weed). I found this growing alongside the breakwall.

It (Glory Lily) became its own wreath.

Stinkhorn Fungi, and I think the yellow one is a Stink-horn Netted Fungi.
Growing in wood chips in the Wall Reserve.

The wind came up today.

The seas were big today.

The seas were big today.

The seas were big today, and these were several 100 metres off shore.

One for the pan.

It wasn't too cold for Miss Ruby.

The seagulls were looking for somewhere soft to land in the strong winds.

This was the first time we had seen a kangaroo near the breakwall.

The mountain put on a nice display for our last morning here.

Looking towards Trial Bay across Front Beach, from South West Rocks.

Looking north from South West Rocks.

Looking north over Horseshoe Bay from South West Rocks.

Its rude to point, at South West Rocks.

The Trial Bay Gaol was established in 1876 as an experimental Public
Works Gaol. Work started in 1877, but was not completed until 1886,
partly due to difficulties in working the hard stone.

Severe storms and increasing costs had seen only some 300 metres of the planned 1500 metre break wall completed.

And this wasn't even a severe storm.

You can smile, you didn't have to work on the wall.

Big seas didn't worry the Silver Gull.
