Olympic Park Homebush with Sara, Ducks and Flying Fox.

Sara and I were looking after each other today so, after lunch, we went off to Olympic Park.

Sunset and Posing Crested Pigeon, at Home.

A couple of Crested Pigeons turned up at the seed tray, so I grabbed the new camera for some practice. In the evening we finally had a decent sunset, so once again I thought I would check out the manual settings of have set up in 'preferred settings' mode. Getting decent photos of sunsets was my biggest fear with the new camera as it had no inbuilt 'sunset' mode (there was in my old model) but the new photos here have given me some hope.

A Quiet End to 2014.

A pretty quiet finish to the year was spent at Lorraine and John's, Andrew and Zane's and Umina Beach.
The photos were some of the first taken with my new camera and maybe why there aren't so many shown here.

"I'm watching you".  Pied Oyster-catcher.

Trying out the new lens.  White-faced Heron.

Last evening for the year 2014.  John might be in need of a new flag.

There were even some 1st Fleeters at Lorraine & Johns ...........
just seems they have been around that long.

No. not Jupiter, just the searchlight of a passing helicopter.

A healthy breakfast to start a new year.

You can tell Charlie was excited.
Umina Beach on new year's day was packed.
Finding a bare patch of sand was difficult.

Is that one of your friends over there Charlie?
