3 Parramatta River and Armoury Walks.




We recently made 3 visits to these locations. First just the 2 of us, then with Irwyn and Rosemary and then with Sara.

9th August walk


Part of the walking / cycle way along the Parramatta River Siverwater.

Going up at Ermington.

AE2 Ermington.  This development is named in recognition of the efforts of those on-board HMAS AE2 submarine. In the First World War, the submarine paved the way for Allied ships to cross the Dardenelles during the Gallipoli campaign.

At a distance I thought this was a sculpture of a red sheep.

"Eyes on the wire, eyes on the wire, eyes on the wire".

This White-bellied Sea Eagle has nested and raised young at Homebush over several years now.
Maritime goes along the river as a block of units goes across the rail bridge.



I don't know if he went to sleep, or died, trying to get to his medication.

There is a softer side here as well.

I was no longer alone.

White-faced Heron is a regular on this walk.

Clematis climbing to the sky.

White-bellied Sea Eagle flies over-head.



8th October walk
