Tassie Trip: Part 1 Home to Melbourne, 16th - 19th October 2019



After our 'test' 9 day driving holiday to Queensland, in May, we now embark on a month long,16th October to 18th November, road and boat trip to Tasmania.

This, the first part, takes us on the 3 day road trip to Melbourne where we put the car, and us, onto  the Spirit of Tasmania and sail across to Devonport in Tasmania.

Built in the early 1930's it originally was used by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

A Gothic-styled Church, built in 1928, as a Memorial to 'the Great War' and those who served and suffered.

This was originally the Presbyterian Church and was was opened in 1898.

Everyone was out enjoying the late afternoon sun at our motel. 
Actually, it was pretty cold.

There were a lot of boats tied up here.

The 'Front Light' is a wooden-framed light beacon built in 1924, Port Melbourne.

largest (2019) seated theatre in Australia.
