Lake Parramatta in flood and St Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, North Parramatta. At last some decent rain. 6th Jan 2016

Some 130 ml, of very welcome, rain over 3 days had the dam at Lake Parramatta spilling over. This creates an opportunity for a chance to get some photos of something that may only occur every couple of years.
Two days before that, on another wet day, I visited the historic St Patricks Roman Catholic Cemetery at Nth Parramatta.

The life-guard didn't have much to do.

This doesn't happen often, so out come the photographers.

A bit of colour in a dull day.

A lacey sheet of water flows over the dam wall at Lake Parramatta after some decent rain.

It's bark-shedding time.

Fingers of Life. This eucalypt does its best to hang on near the dam wall.
